Travel support for students presenting a poster or paper at the SIGPLAN Programming Language Design and Implementation Conference (PLDI 2009) have traditionally been available through the SIGPLAN Professional Activities Committee (PAC). This year, through a grant from the National Science Foundation, we are proud to announce the availability of a limited number of travel awards for students who not presenting but only attending the conference.
If you are a student interested in learning more about state of the art research in programming language design and implementation, please consider applying for a PLDI 2009 travel award. The awards will be distributed through the SIGPLAN professional activities committee (PAC) awards system. The application form can be found at http://www.sigplan.org/PAC.htm. Note that the forms were originally designed for students presenting papers. Where they ask Title of paper / Names of Authors, just indicate "Not applicable".
